| 1. | Dollar Conversion |
| Question: | How do you convert from Canadian to US dollars ? |
| Answer: | When the particular product page is updated, we take the amount the Canadian dollar is trading in US funds, and add 2-3 % to allow for the profit margins from the credit card companies. Usually the amount billed by the credit card issuer is less than our estimated price (but not always). We bill in Canadian funds, unless special arrangements are made. | |
| 2. | Shipping Costs |
| Question: | How much does it cost to send shoes or boots ? |
| Answer: | For Canada and the US, including Hawaii & Alaska, we normally ship Expedited or Xpress Post and/or UPS STANDARD to continental North America
Average cost is (Cdn funds) is: shoe $15 -$26
boot $20-$35 . Remember that most means of transport cube (dimension) all parcels, so packaging is usually rated at higher than its actual weight. Again, shipping is not included in our pricing.

| 3. | Warranty ( if purchased from J.Seigel Footwear Inc.) |
| Question: | If there is a problem with your footwear, what should be done ? |
| Answer: | 3A: If purchased from J.Seigel Footwear Inc., please contact us immediately !! Either E-mail us or call on our toll free line regarding your problem. We will try to assess the problem over the phone, and may require the product returned to us.
3B: We will not accept product purchased elsewhere for replacement, claims or repair. Check our link page re contacting the manufacturer direct, or e-mail us and we will try to refer or answer your problem. | |
| 4. | Taxes |
| Question: | What taxes do you charge ? |
| Answer: | For goods shipped within Canada after July 1, 2010 we charge as follows: 13 % HST in Ontario % HST where applicable to other provinces, or GST only if that province does not have HST Outside of Canada No Canadian taxes are charged. Any other applicable taxes are the responsibility of purchaser to remit.

| 5. | EXPORT/IMPORT DUTIES |
| Question: | How much duty do I pay if I am not in Canada ? |
| Answer: | Canada does not have an export tax on footwear. Product made in North America and shipped in North America is subject to 'free trade', and is duty exempt. All other product is subject to import duties, dependent on country of origin. Check your local gov't office, post office or broker for more information. These taxes, where applicable, are to be paid by the purchaser upon receipt of product. To date (July, 2010), footwear shipped to the US that is under $200 US is received without duty or brokerage charges. | |
| 6. | Returning Product |
| Question: | Can your product be returned for a refund ? |
| Answer: | Yes. Details can be seen at our return policy page.
We refund, as a rule, by the original method of payment .Freight is not refundable. If a product is being returned re exchange for a different size, we may subsidize the following freight out as to build a future customer base.

| Question: | Where have you been selling ? |
| Answer: | Primarily Canada and the USA, including Hawaii. Note that the air mail to any state in the USA is the same from Canada Post. We have also sold a few pair to Australia, England, the Netherlands and are receiving requests from Hong Kong and India. | |
